Burly

I likes my wood furniture like I likes my men...burly and made in the 70s

Ok, these might not all be from the 70s, but they're all burly as hell and that's what I like. I could really go from some burl action in my life. And I almost got it a few weeks ago. This is really hard for me to talk about... A Milo Baughman for Thayer Coggin burl dining table EXACTLY like the one pictured above was for sale on Craigslist for a ridiculously low price. The problem was we weren't in our new house yet, so I really didn't have any place to keep it. Well I should have made room for it, because of course it sold and I wanted to impale myself on some knitting needles.

  8. I love my men like that too! I am selling a burl dining table like that but it is prob better suited as a large desk - really only seats 4 - 6 if you squish on sides. It is a square with two leaves. I am in New Orleans - email me if you need more info!

I went out to the Urban Lumber Company based out of Portland and they create custom furniture and other stuff out of old-growth trees and they has some amazing Burl pieces that blew my mind.

  19. Love a great burl wood piece. Yet I don't like to much of pattern and chaos around it. It could look so stunning. I can't wait to see if you will incorporate a nice burl piece in your home :)))

    Happy Thursday!
