Those, along with these unreal oil paintings by Lee Kwang-Ho, are sort of making me like cacti and succulents...
Growing up in the desert we had cactus out the ass. I mentally lumped them in with anything 80s southwestern. (was the rest of the country swept up in that trend or just the actual Southwest?) I swore I'd never have cacti in my yard but now I'm starting to reconsider...

Those paintings are GORGEOUS!! The colors are so pretty!!! I just love succulents! xoxo
ReplyDeleteI like some more than others but the outdoor living photo with the vertical ones as a backdrop is gorgeous. The furthest west I've been was vegas and didn't notice any. I would love to see some one day in life. I won't act like I did when I saw a palm tree in real life but it'll be interesting LOL
ReplyDeleteBeautiful! and how easy do they seem to take care of!! My kinda plant ;) they almost look like they are made of clay!
ReplyDeleteThat picture window is such a gorgeous vignette to showcase such sculptural pieces! Albeit a little odd in a residence, but a total conversation piece! Totally pinning...I'll DEF have to shelf this look for a future, super gutsy client! Thanks for the inspiration!

Cool (and spiky) inspiration! I recently stocked up on succulents for my home. Love them very much!!
ReplyDeleteI am obsessed with cacti. Planning to inundate my yard with them. Hopefully, I won't kill them despite forgetting to water them. great pics!!
ReplyDeleteinteresting how perspetive changes right? so many things I find now beautiful and some years ago I found dreadful...sometimes it just takes a view in a different light.
ReplyDeleteI swear we share a brain because I'm warming up to them just as of late too...bought a couple for my porch as a matter of fact. My brain is moving from 80s Southwest to modern Palm Beach:)
ReplyDeleteI went to the local shop for succulents on the weekend but the selection wasn't great. This post has inspired me to renew my search!

Jessica, I love them. I have succulents throughout my home not only because I think they are cool (grew up in Jersey) but they are the only plants I don't kill.
ReplyDeleteI so wish I had a yard warm enough for cacti. And yes, I grew up in the southwest too. Live so far from there now...maybe it is just homesickness.
