This is a follow-up to my first
post on black kitchens a while back. I think they're so chic and glam and look how amazing the white china looks in those cabinets! One major caveat: I would never recommend this for any place that wasn't perpetually sunny. You can tell from the pictures that these kitchens get loads of natural light.
If I end up back in Arizona, this is definitely happening.
those are some serious stunnas! i will always always love that 3rd one.
ReplyDeleteThese are fabulous kitchens! I especially love the first and fourth ones.

These are pretty gorgeous! It's not the kind of kitchen I think I will ever have, but I totally enjoy swooning over these sexy and sophisticated kitchens!

I love a black kitchen! It adds such drama. Def a great change from the typical stark white kitchens. :)

Such a fan of black kitchens, my sister actually painted her cabinets black and added chicken wire to the doors, looks so good! It's a more dramatic alternative to the all white kitchen :)
ReplyDeleteLove it! I'm currently working on a white, very bright kitchen for a client.....maybe I can convince her to add some touches of black - I love the contrast and the richness it adds.

Yes, huge windows is a must! Interesting how that one in the middle is half black and half white...hmmm...would have never thought of that.
ReplyDeleteI like the first one because of the light and the island furniture. The floor of the third photo is very original.
ReplyDeleteThat one of Tommy Smythe's kitchen has been a favorite of mine for some time. Perfection!
ReplyDeleteI hope you end up in Arizona b/c I need to see a black kitchen happen! I'll even help you paint. Love when these designers balance just enough black and glossy white!

You know the one I love best is the black lowers, white uppers and black French doors! The perfect balance!

Really good tip about the sunlight - I adore this look but our home just doesn't receive enough light to make it work. At least I can enjoy these images instead!
ReplyDeleteOh wow these are so sexy and sophisticated. Love them! Goint to pin pin pin!

LOVE THEM! I have always dreamed of having a black kitchen. Right now my kitchen gets hardly any natural light and would look like a dungeon... maybe in my next house!
ReplyDeleteBlack is my favorite color you already KNOW how many visualgasms I get upon seeing black cabinetry. And you're absolutely correct, gotta have a ton of natural light or a mixture of light counters, floors and walls to make it work and not feel like a dungeon.
